La Madrid, Coahuila - Mexico
The abundant
production of peaches, apricots, apples, and nuts has given this
area the right to call itself the Flower and Fruit Garden of
Coahuila. Its name is reminiscent of the notable soldier
Francisco Lamadrid. The town complements its economic activity
with the sowing of beans, corn, and squash. The nearby town of
Monclova acts as a natural source of labor. Its abundant
vegetation, most notably its tall walnut trees, make it ideal
for taking a dip in the El Cariño de la Montaña spa, the Salada
channel, or in the La Casita pond. |
